Breathing new life into buildings

C13 Estates Limited is led by Kevin Chaplin, an electrician turned property developer. Skilled in managing multiple projects concurrently, Kevin—alongside a trusted team of subcontractors—has brought new life to numerous neglected sites across the East Midlands.

He specialises in building properties with high specification, and modern eco feature homes. Committed to revitalising communities, Kevin delivers thoughtfully designed living spaces that meet the needs of today’s homeowners. Each project is a testament to his team’s craftsmanship, attention to detail, and focus on creating homes that offer both comfort and long term value.

Projects

NEXA first partnered with C13 Estates in 2020, funding the renovation of a historic building and former pub in the village of Elton-on-the-Hill.

This was soon followed by the development of a dormer bungalow and a detached family home on the site of a dilapidated property in Mapperley Plains (2021), and then by another high specification detached home in the picturesque village of Trowell.

For his most ambitious project yet, Kevin has recently taken on an 11 acre site in the sought after countryside village of Ruddington. The proposed development includes five units—a mix of one, two, four, and five bedroom homes. Two bungalows are already complete, with plans to adapt a third existing property into a four bedroom home, complete with an entertainment space and double garage. In addition, the development will include the completion of a partially built plot and the conversion of a large workshop into a five bedroom dwelling—each property designed with credible energy saving and renewable energy technologies in mind.

With future developments planned C13 Estates shows no signs of slowing down—and NEXA Finance is proud to continue providing the funding to bring these visions to life.
